Product Description

Demineralised Water systems produces high quality water free from any kind of minerals. It operates on the principle of ion exchange, degasification and polishing for treating water and removing ions. Demineralization technology is one of the cost effective solutions for treatment of water. These systems are widely used to treat water in the field of steam, power, process, and cooling.

Varieties of Demineralized Water Systems:

  • Constructed with FRP, MS, MSRL or SS vessels
  • Available in Automatic and manual mode
  • Integrated with Multiport and individual valve


Feed water is passed through two small polystyrene beds filled with ion exchange resins. The cations present in water get exchanged with hydrogen ions in first bed. And the anions are exchanged with hydroxyl ions, in the second bed.

  • The feed water is pumped into the Multi-media Filters and Activated Carbon Filters
  • These units remove Cationic ions from the water
  • Then the water enters through the Strong Base Anions and Anions get removed from the water stream
  • Mixed Bed units polishes the water, greatly reducing the conductivity level
  • The feed pumps provide regeneration water to the regeneration skids
  • Different regeneration skids provide the necessary amount of dilute chemical to the demineralization vessels
  • Finally the demineralized water is then passed to the storage tank

Technical specifications

After the exchange, the quality of water is as follows:

  • Cation quality - less than 10 Micro siemens per centimeters
  • 7.5 to 8.5 pH
  • Used as a polishing unit, the mixed bed has less than 1 micro siemens quality

Deminaralised Water System
Product Description

The demineralizer is a two vessel system with separate cation and anion exchange vessel. It produces ultra pure water free from minerals. In this, all the cations and anions are converted to their respective acids. Finally the water is left with only hydrogen and hydroxyl ions that combine to form pure water.

  • The strong base demineralizer is a two-vessel system
  • First, water is passed through a strong acid cation exchange vessel
  • In this vessel, the ionizable salts in the water are converted to their respective acids
  • Then the water is passed through strong base anion exchange vessel
  • The negative radicals of the acids are converted to hydroxyl (OH-) ions in this vessel
  • Finally the output water contains only hydrogen (H+) and hydroxyl (OH-) ions that combine to form pure water

Desalination Plant

Product Description

Desalination Plants produce high quality drinking water from seawater. This type of plant has the capability of producing up to 25 million gallons per day of drinking water to industry. Seawater fed to the plant is treated through a rigorous process and finally freshwater is separated from the seawater using reverse osmosis. Today, Desalination plants have been working on number of technologies such as desalination, reverse osmosis, distillation, electro-dialysis and vacuum freezing.

  • Seawater drawn from oceans is fed in to plant through specially designed intake structures
  • Pre-treatment filters then remove solid matter like sand and sediment from the water
  • Filtered sea water is then passed through reverse osmosis process
  • The water is passed through ultra-fine membranes where seawater concentrate is left behind
  • Desalined water is then remineralized as per the standards
  • Seawater concentrate is then returned to ocean through diffuser structure

The desalination plant produces high quality water with 1.0 to 50 ppm TDS.

In this desalination plant, if, 100 gallons of sea water is fed, 15 to 50 gallons of pure water would be produced.

2000 LPH Water Demineralization Plant

AGUAPURO offers De-Mineralization Plants, are available in Two Types, Mainly Two Bed DM Plants and Mixed Bed DM Plants. However, DM Plants are also available with Weak Base & Strong Base Cation & Anion Exchanger. DM Plants are also available with Degasification System to remove alkalinity physically without using chemicals (Saves NaOH)

Mixed Bed DM Plants (MB) units are offered as a Polisher Unit to get conductivity less than 0.5 micro Siemens/cm or 0.05 micro Siemens/cm conductivity with 2 MB units in Series Aguapuro Offers Standard DM Plants with FRP / Mild Steel Rubber Lining & SS 316 L (Quartz Lined) construction.

AGUAPURO series DM Plants (Two Bed & Mixed Bed units) are available in various sizes having cation and anion exchanger unit with 200 mm to 2000 mm diameter with either Valves or Multi Port Valve depending upon the sizes and customer requirement.

In Two Bed DM Plant, Strong Acid Cation Exchanger and Strong Base Anion Exchanger resin are used for reducing Total Dissolved Solids up to 2 - 5 ppm. To check the treated water quality at the outlet, conductivity meter is provided. Degasification unit is also provided to decrease the load on Anion Unit.

Mixed Bed Units are used in series with Two Bed DM Plant as a polisher unit which can produce treated water having conductivity < 1 mS/cm.

Cation Polisher Unit is also available to achieve Acidic Water Quality for Specific applications.

DM Plant produces Treated water having Conductivity less than 10 mS/cm (for Two Bed) and less than 1 mS/cm with pH as desired.
